Today, April 22, the application submissions for participation in the 5th International Documentary Film Festival Artdocfest/Riga has started. The 5th IDFF Artdocfest/Riga will take place from March 1 to 8, 2025.
The "Baltic Focus" competition accepts works created in the Baltic Sea countries - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia (films financed by the Russian government or related companies are not accepted), or filmed in co-production with them in any of the languages.
The "Artdocfest Open" competition accepts film applications worldwide, focusing on documentary films from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and related processes.
Applications from all over the world are considered for non-competitive programs.
A mandatory condition for a film to participate in the festival is the status of the film's Latvian premiere.
Applications will be accepted until December 15, 2024.
