We sincerely believe that the situation with covid-19 will radically change around the world this summer. And we believe that we will use friendly communication through zoom again only in case of emergency. We believe that online festivals will take place only if we are not allowed to watch films that we ourselves want in one, separate country.
We are sure that we will start the autumn with working meetings of our authors with their European colleagues at the Artdocfest pitching in Riga. Since September, as planned, we will resume the tour with our films to Kazakhstan and Georgia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
And, of course, we are working to open a new festival in the capital of Latvia at the end of november, which was called IDFF Artdocfest / Riga. At which both the premieres of the traditional Artdocfest competition and the new Baltic documentary competition Baltic Focus will take place. Where professionals of non-fiction films of different generations will once again gather at one common table to discuss important worldview issues for each filmmaker, reviving the famous Riga documentary symposium.
And, of course, we are doing everything to ensure that “Artdocfest” in Russia, as always, presents to the Russian audience the most vivid and most relevant documentary film. We continue to work in the hope that we can traditionally get together at the premieres in crowded halls in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
To implement all our plans, you need to believe in yourself and in your strength.
Everything is real! See you at the festival!
