The image of military musicians is immortalized in numerous songs, paintings, films. In books and films, these are heroes who save sleeping troops surrounded by the enemy with a ringing and alarming horn signal. And how are things with military bands in real life? A documentary film shot in 1968 tells about the everyday life of a military music orchestra. During the filming, a combined military band of 500 people marched through the streets of Leningrad, an amazing spectacle that shocked those who saw and heard it.
