Memoirs of eyewitnesses of the Holodomor of 1933, residents of Ukraine and the American journalist Gareth Jones, who also witnessed these events and wrote about them. The protagonists of the film were children when everything was taken away from their parents. The Holodomor of 1932-33 claimed the lives of millions of Ukrainians. It was a tragedy for a people who lived and worked on the most fertile land in the world. This was known in the world and then, in those days, diplomats sent messages to their governments, wrote about this young British journalist Gareth Jones, whose life was cut short unexpectedly and tragically.
