Having passed since 2014 in cooperation with the Riga International Film Festival, Artdocfest / Riga announced the creation of an independent International Documentary Film Festival. In addition to the "Artdocfest" competition the Baltic Documentary Film Competition —"Baltic Focus", is being established. The famous Riga documentary symposium is being revived as part of the festival. More details about the new festival here in the draft regulations. The festival will be held annually at the end of November, in conjunction with the announcement of the winners at the IDFA.
