Kirill Nabutov — an independent blogger and journalist. He spent several decades working in television, both as an independent producer and as a staff member of various TV channels. His work spans a wide range of formats and genres — from sports reporting to reality shows, as well as documentary films and series. In a previous, more or less normal life, he was awarded Russia’s highest television prize, TEFI, five times.
Masha Slonim-Phillimore — an independent journalist, author, and producer of numerous documentary films and programmes. She worked for many years with the BBC in both Russia and the United Kingdom, including as a co-producer of the BBC’s eight-part documentary series The Second Russian Revolution. She also produced current affairs programmes for Panorama and Newsnight, worked with Channel 4. She is the author and narrator of the film Heavy Burden of Freedom, about journalists working in Russia in the nineties.
Esther Bol — a playwright and performance artist (known as Asya Voloshina until 2022). She is the author of plays that, prior to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, were staged in many major Russian theatres. Her plays are currently being staged in theatres in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Prague, Tel Aviv, and Chișinău. She lives in France, where she also creates performances.
