"Marian Hertz: Model and Ideal Mother", this is how the director's grandmother was presented in a glossy magazine of the 50s. His father, uncle and aunt smile ironically when they see this headline, because their childhood was far from ideal, they ended up in an orphanage when they were very young. And now the relationship with the 95-year-old mother is extremely difficult. Soon after his father completely broke off relations with his grandmother, Tom goes to South Africa at her invitation, where she started a new life some time ago. And he finds answers to painful family questions and new experiences there.
