The tape is dedicated to the writer, publicist, longtime employee and editor-in-chief of the Russian Service of Radio Liberty Pyotr Vail. Filming took place in New York, Prague and Venice. The film uses rare archival photo, video and audio materials. Petr Weil died in December 2009. He would have turned 65 in 2014.
