In May 2025, ArtDocFest returns to Bishkek! This year, there will be fewer screenings, but in addition to them, all those interested (especially film students and emerging documentary filmmakers) will have the opportunity to attend master classes from ArtDocSchool. The master classes will be held both online and offline from May 19 to May 22 at ololoYurt (Kulatova St., 61)!
The films of the ArtDocFest Asia 2025 program can be seen on May 19 and 20 at the Chinghiz Aitmatov Cinema House (Logvinenko St., 13)!
Through destinies, images, and history, we strive to present the real picture of the world to the audience, even if it's just a small part of it (this time). You will see three vivid author films about modern life in Latvia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan:
“Everything Will Be Alright” (Latvia / directed by Stanislav Tokalov) – participant of the main program of ArtDocFest 2023
“Hi Papa!” (Germany, Kazakhstan / directed by Aleksandra Kretzan) – LAVR Award 2024, nomination “Cinema of the Future – Debut,” participant of the main program of ArtDocFest 2025
“Someone Else's War” (Kyrgyzstan / directed by Daniel Berger) – participant of the main program of ArtDocFest 2025
All screenings and master classes are free to attend, no registration required. Come, we’ll be happy to meet you! :)
