In October 2024, ArtDocFest will come to Moldova for the first time.
The screenings will begin two days after the Presidential elections and the Referendum on the future of the country.
We do not know what choice the Moldovan people will make, and of course we cannot influence it. But we think it is interesting to show the citizens of Moldova films about that part of the world that still thinks in imperial narratives. About that part of the world that is trying to subjugate other nations...
ArtDocFest is not about propaganda. The films of our program are among the most striking examples of world auteur documentary cinema. Through destinies, images, history, we try to convey to the viewer a real picture of the world.
Most of the program is dedicated to the realities of life in Russia.

And of course, ArtDocFest cannot ignore the war in Ukraine. Two films at once, the world premieres of which took place at the Berlinale:

The screenings will take place from October 22 to 28 in Chisinau and other cities.
