Leur chagrin déforme le monde au point où plus rien ne fait sens – les activités manuelles ont leur propre logique qui peut offrir un baume quand rien d'autre ne le peut. Chaque action semble aider les parents à oublier que la mort de leurs fils dans cette guerre qui n’était pas la leur était vaine.

Their grief warps the world to the point where nothing makes sense – manual activities have their own logic that might offer a salve when nothing else will. But every this action seems to help parents forget that the death of their sons in someone else’s war was in vain.
