Application for Pitching Sessions was closed on 15th January, 2023. In conclusion almost 15 film authors will be competing for one place in the Pitching Sessions. Artdocfest/Riga received applications from documentary film authors from various countries and regions around the world.
10 finalists for the Artdocfest/Riga Pitching Sessions will be announced on 15th February, 2023. On this date the jury for the Pitching Sessions will be revealed as well.
During the Artdocfest/Riga Pitching Sessions an international jury of cinema professionals will determine granting financial support to further developing documentary cinema for the applied authors, as well as the jury will grant scholarships for authors in order for them to keep working on making movies.
10 finalists will be invited to Riga to present their movie ideas during the Artdocfest/Riga Pitching Sessions. For invited filmmakers who won’t be able to attend the Sessions at Riga, the festival will organize an option to take part in Sessions online.
The aim of Artdocfest/Fund is to promote the freedom of speech, freedom of artistic creativity and civil freedom altogether.
The final presentations of the Artdocfest/Riga Pitching Session will take place on 2nd March, 2023., on the IDFF Artdocfest/Riga opening day.
