Director Philippe Remunda often went with his operator to Ukraine. His family roots and close ties with local people allowed him to look into their personal and family life, and through it - into the very situation in a society, divided sometimes by polar opinions and political predilections. The history of the family, one part of which lives in the eastern part of Ukraine, and the other - in Kiev, becomes symbolic. Close relatives are no longer able to find a common language, discussing what is really happening in their country. During his travels, the director found himself behind the front line and chronicled the life of the population in the territories controlled by the separatists. Fatigue from a protracted war is visible from all sides, but the question of when the conflict will end, remains unanswered.
