A remote settlement in the south of Russia. The former lecturer of the Knowledge Society, physicist Boris Zolotov lives here. In the mid-1980s, he decided to leave the walls of a research institution in order to start living according to his own convictions. His worldview takes the form of hour-long swimming rituals, mantras, and nightly theatrical performances. A group of people gathered around Zolotov, willing to share their knowledge and demonstrating an unusual collective faith on the border of science, cosmology and psychedelic trance theatre. Like many in the group, young Ekaterina has questions that cannot be answered elsewhere. Together with Boris Evgenievich, she discusses the concept of happiness in contemporary Russia.
